终结者还会拍5吗？
随着《终结者2018》热映，下一部终结者电影也提上了议事日程。拥有《终结者》续集拍摄权的哈尔辛公司去年就宣布了一个三部曲的拍摄计划，他们早已与导演McG、克里斯汀·贝尔也签订了合约。McG日前也透露他的新片大计，故事大纲已经成形：2018年后，天网和人类抵抗军掌握了时空穿越的技术，这次人类决心率先发起攻击，约翰·康纳一行穿越到2011年的伦敦，决心阻止天网发起全面进攻。天网也派来了T-800、“收割者”、“猎杀者”等机器人兵团，约翰·康纳不得不用所能找到的武器与终结者们作战，一场空前的大战将在伦敦展开。根据安排，《终结者5》将于2011年上映。
对于《终结者5》，导演McG还有其它想法，他知道观众对《终结者2》中的液体金属人T-1000印象深刻，罗伯特·帕特里克饰演的机器人是影史经典形象。在第5集中，他想尝试讲述这个机器人的来历，“我很喜欢观众在下一集终结者电影中见到罗伯特·帕特里克，而且是看到他现在的样子。他会是一个研究细胞复制的科学家，希望能让人类保持青春。想象一下我们看到60岁的帕特里克，‘天哪，他将变成T-1000’？”McG觉得这个创意十分完美，虽然还没有定案，但他说已经开始跟罗伯特·帕特里克接触。
